Chihkan Tower (or Chihkan Tower) was built by the Dutch in 1652. It was originally called "Province City" and was an administrative and commercial center. The building is
composed of three slightly square pedestals connected together. In 1886, they were converted into red roof tiles, including Wenchang Pavilion, Haishen Temple and Penghu Academy.
Since the beginning of its establishment, the number of building repairs has been increased for more than 300 years. Quite a lot, but its role in Tainan City has always been
very important.
